This is a post from the old 7t4 odoo site. As such it hasn't been reformatted properly and doesn't include embedded links, etc., etc.
As far as recent events, particularly regarding the increasing censorship and 'tech purge,' I've noticed most people jumping right into politics with this crap. While political philosophies, ideals or beliefs are tangentially related, the polarized personal bias tends to go over the top. The possibility of intelligent debate/conversation/communication is right out. And that's the real problem. The gaslighting, double standard nonsense reminds me of my BPD ex. And anyone that has been in a relationship with a Cluster B knows all too well that trying to have an intelligent, logical, fact based, adult conversation with them is practically impossible. BTW, this most recent censorship has renewed interest in alternative software and platforms that are more privacy/security friendly, so for those interested I've created a new page.
A sister post has been added to the 7T4 System blog.
A post from Not The Bee brought to my attention that currently "Hang Pence" is trending on twitter. This right after they suspended Trump's account. And let's not even get into the pro-BLM related tweets or comparing the Capitol incident to how many? burned and destroyed buildings/businesses... Or the biased opinions that are passed off as facts and labeling of what looks more like propaganda than anything as being "fact checked." Which is almost like saying Snopes is still reliable or statistics never lie. Well to be fair to statistics, the numbers don't lie but the methodology used or how they are presented is another matter.
The selective suspending/banning/etc. of certain individuals and censoring of certain content while allowing, even promoting, the same type of content from other certain individuals is so blatantly obvious it's absurd. It's exactly the kind of thing a BPD does. There's so many examples of double standards to choose from that it's hard to pick just one, and I'm sure there's much more ridiculous than this one, but check out this recent example courtesy of Not The Bee. https://notthebee.com/article/vox-ladies-and-gentlemen

Now here's the real problem with what is really a non-partisan/Constitutional/Human issue of censorship and control... The actions of big tech and much of the media are apparently being driven by the extreme politics of their CEO/Board and/or money from political extremists. And that political extreme is one not much unlike the one which led to the founding of these United States, the tearing down of the Berlin Wall, the Soviet Union becoming the Russian Federation. It almost seems to be similar to how things are in North Korea or China.... Hmm. The weird thing is how many citizens actually support such politics. Hey, I think Libertarian Anarchism (which has been likened/equated to communism) is as great a philosophy as the next guy. The problem with such political theories as communism, socialism, etc. is the fact that they cannot exist on a large scale and only work in theory. Beyond a small communal setting of generally like minded people the system falls apart and devolves into the totalitarian and oppressive dictatorships as historically demonstrated over and over again. Arguably, and with at least some historically demonstrable proof, the United States was founded on the best possible form of government, a Representative Democratic Constitutional Republic. It does seem to have ventured quite far from it's more libertarian roots and somewhere along the way "Politician" became a career which I'm pretty sure was never intended by the Founders... Anyways....
What this past year in social media and current events seems to indicate is that more people than one would imagine, and any actual statistics show, meet the clinical criteria for a Cluster B disorder. The completely emotion based arguments which tend to lack logic are practically everywhere. Independent objective thought and reasoning seems to be a rarity these days. The amount of people on social media which have opinions based solely on what some celebrity, politician, news anchor, youtuber, tiktok, book of faces meme has essentially told them to have is astounding. Maybe I shouldn't be too surprised seeing as how that has essentially been part of the curriculum goals of the public education system for decades, but that, like US politics veering from original Constitutional intent and ideals, is another story.
All the textbook behaviors common to BPD's is practically everywhere anymore. And that, IMHO, is more dangerous than a strain of flu virus politicized into a pandemic.
Some abbreviated terms found here

DBT - Dialectical Behavior Therapy [a type of cognitive behavioral therapy that so far is the only known effective treatment for Borderline Personality Disorder]
